Appeal following theft |
||
Do you recognise these people? We would like to speak to them in connection with the theft of cash from an elderly woman in Newcastle-under-Lyme last month. A total of £2,500 was stolen from the victim’s handbag while she was in the Dougie Mac store on High Street at around midday on 30 September. The individuals are believed to have followed the victim into the store after seeing her withdraw the cash from a nearby bank. The man, described as in his 40s, distracted the victim by getting her to try on a coat before he and the women made off with the cash. They left the scene in the direction of Poundland. Officers have been conducting inquiries locally and are releasing images of those we think may be involved in the theft. Anyone who recognises these individuals should contact us on 101 quoting incident number 249 of 30 September. To report anonymously, call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
